CTS (Coolant Temperature Sensor)
An EFI system needs to read what the engine coolant temperature is so it can regulate the fuel requirement for efficient operation. The CTS allows the EMS to read engine temperature and adjust for additional fuel to be added on a cold start, and throughout warm up of the engine. It also allows additional fuel to be added when the engine gets extremely hot to aid in cooling. Thread of the sensor is 3/8" NPT. |
